Interview: Ezinne Kwubiri

Interview: Ezinne Kwubiri

From wearing black suits to ripped jeans and flowy blouses, Ezinne Kwubiri had to learn to loosen up and adjust to her new position at Viacom where the creatives live. Going from a traditional corporate job to a non-traditional one, wasn't easy but let's say that with 9+ years under her belt, Ezi has successfully done her job as the Director of Global Services of Viacom. She doesn't aspire to be an entrepreneur but her dream is to climb to the top of the corporate ladder. "I am a entrepreneur in my own career. I am one of those people that don't mind corporate america. I see myself being a CEO oneday or a COO and using my skills to support the people who are true entrepreneurs and are governing their own company," says Ezi. With that type of mindset, it is not surprising that with all the traveling she does for her job that she finds time to help her community and others through her efforts in philanthropy. As Franny chats with Ezi, we learn that traveling for work is not as glam as it may look in pictures, giving back to your community is something that you owe to it, Google Calendar is your bestie when it comes to time management and you can still be an entrepreneur and still work for another company.

Grab your Green Smoothie, a pen and some pieces of paper to chronicle these declarations.
